Bobi Wine Health Worsens In Uganda

Things are getting worse on the arrest and health condition of musician-turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine, also reffered to as ‘Omubanda Wa Kabaka’  by locals is getting thick after he was brutalized during an arrest and later tortured in military barracks.

His wife Barbara Itungo says he is gravely ill with internal injuries after one of his kidney was damaged during the brutal arrest .

On the other hand, President Museveni, quoting military medical sources, dismisses the reports, terming them “fake news”.

His wife Barbara had this to say “The only problem is that we could not get clear documented information from the doctors to confirm. However, he also told me that one of his kidneys is injured,” she said.It is hard to verify the extent of the damage on my husband’s life because of the damages seem to be internal.”

On Saturday, Mr Wine's lawyers, Lukwago and Company Advocates, also released a statement indicating that the doctors confirmed his kidney had been damaged and this is what he had to say. “One of Hon Kyagulanyi’s kidneys was damaged, he suffered internal bleeding, he is experiencing excruciating pain in the hip and head yet no scan or X-ray examination had been conducted,” the lawyers stated. No clear indication that the military barracks is equipped with necessary facilities to handle his deteriorating health.”

The family of Mr. Wine and his lawyers are now demanding that he should be released immediately from the military hosipital where he is bedridden and  under the watch of the military.
